‘One vet wide-out, please’
Bengals.com reports that Bengals QB Carson Palmer is fine with bringing in T.O. and has exchanged text messages with the top WR on the market, Tampa’s Antonio Bryant.
Palmer’s response to a Hobson inquiry regarding having Owens added to the roster was, “I’d love to.”  He also went on to remind us that [...]

It was downright ugly Sunday night in the final regular season game of 2009 as the Jets blanked the Bengals 37-0 in front of a raucous sold out crowd.  Even old Bengal Chris Collinsworth, who as NBC analyst is required to be unbiased, could not contain his disdain at the effort put out by the [...]

One thing can be said about the Minnesota Vikings that could not be said in the past: they have been consistent this season. Consistently good quarterbacking by Brett Favre (save for the past couple weeks) and their rushing game. It would be unimaginable how mediocre they would be without Adrian Peterson (with apologies to Chester [...]

The Cincinnati Bengals were happier than a pig in slop knowing that running back Cedric Benson would start for them during Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions at Paul Brown Stadium. And to stay on the pig-in-slop reference, Benson ran like the proverbial pig running to the trough; he ran for 110 yards in his [...]

The Oakland Raiders, by and large, are an unlucky team that happens to be offensively challenged, as well. And as luck would have it, they on Sunday would have to host the Cincinnati Bengals over at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The Bengals’ rushing attack was better than expected and their run defense stopped the Raiders, for [...]

The Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans actually have something in common – not much in their rushing department but make up for it in spades with superior passing. Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, while obviously not Peyton Manning (heck, who is?), has save for Week 1 made a decent accounting of himself. In Houston’s game agaisnt [...]

The Cincy Enquirer says that while Carson Palmer is getting better, he’s still not totally ready to go:
The good news was that Bengals QB Carson Palmer donned a jersey for Sunday’s practice. The bad news – he was still on a side field while the rest of the team went through drills. Palmer appeared to [...]

Quarterback Carson Palmer doesn’t know whether the Bengals’ medical staff will let him play in the final preseason game. Palmer sprained his left ankle in the first preseason game and has sat out the last two. He said Saturday that the ankle is improving, but he doesn’t know what he’ll be allowed to do [...]

James Walker, of ESPN.com, reports Bengals QB Carson Palmer will not play in the team’s preseason game Thursday, August 20th, according to ESPN’s Bob Holtzman. The Bengals are describing Palmer’s injury as a mild to moderate high ankle sprain.

Carson Palmer, playing for the first time since an elbow injury sidelined him early last season, completed seven of 11 passes for 133 yards in Cincinnati’s loss to New Orleans.
Palmer’s only mistake came on Jonathan Vilma’s interception. Palmer left the game late in the first quarter, moments after his quick sideline throw to Chad Ochocinco [...]
