Bengals Add Lineman with 27th pick

With the 27th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected … Kevin Zeitler, guard from Wisconsin.

Bobbie Williams’ days in Cincinnati may be over with Zeitler coming to Cincinnati via the 27th overall selection acquired from New England when the Bengals traded out of the 21st position. A three-year starter for the Badgers with a 6-foot-4, 314-pound frame, Zeitler adds some serious beef to the right side of an offensive line that already boasts 335-pound tackle Andre Smith, a first-round pick from the 2009 draft.

Zeitler likely completes the opening day line that will feature (from left) Andrew Whitworth, free agent addition Travelle Wharton, Kyle Cook, Zeitler and Smith.

Zeitler is the first guard the Bengals have ever taken in the first round of an NFL Draft.
