Mike Brown Approves CBA, Training Camp on Time

There have been two bits of very good news for Bengals fans today. The first was that Bengals owner Mike Brown did not vote against the collective bargaining agreement that was proposed to owners today. Owners voted 31-0 in favor of the agreement with the Raiders standing alone and abstaining. When the previous CBA was voted upon, Mike Brown and Bills owner Ralph Wilson were the only owners to vote against the deal.

The second piece of good news today was that Bengals.com editorĀ Geoff Hobson tweeted that owner Mike Brown stated that the team will report to training camp in Georgetown, KY on time on 7/28. There are still issues that need to be worked out in order for the new CBA to take effect but it is very good news for Bengals fans that the team is confident that training camp will be on schedule and that they will meet at Georgetown College for the 15th year in a row.

We can only hope the stream of good news from Mike Brown continues in the weeks and months to come.
