In May, a July 15 deadline was set for the Bengals to hold training camp at Georgetown College. That day is upon us, but both sides are keeping their options open, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
“We’re ready for them. It just becomes a matter of if it is feasible for them or not,” Georgetown College Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Todd Gambill said.
The Bengals, who have trained at the Kentucky college for the last 14 summers, are scheduled to open camp on July 28. If they do not go to Georgetown, they will hold their training camp on the fields adjacent to Paul Brown Stadium.
Thus far, the New York Jets, New York Giants, and Baltimore Ravens have canceled plans to hold their training camp at offsite locations. After exploring offsite training camp options, the St. Louis Rams decided to remain at their Earth City, Missouri headquarters again this summer.
