Chad Taken To Court For Stiffing Clothing Store

Nice Suit, Chad. Did you pay for it?

Cincinnati.com reported today that Chad Ochocinco has been ordered to pay Amm One, a clothing story in Cincinnati, $11,717.39 for clothing Ocho “purchased” between 2008 and 2009.

Some of the items noted in the article included 2 pairs of $400.00 Alligator skin shoes, a $400.00 sweater, a $350.00 pair of jeans, and, perhaps the most ludicrous of all, a $250.00 T-shirt.  One can only assume that the shirt was made of spun gold.

At any rate, it seems that Chad had plenty of time to settle his account with the store.  The last purchase made was almost two years ago, on March 31, 2009.  The court tried to serve Chad with the lawsuit twice, but were unable to reach him (obviously they didn’t check Kansas City).

In the end, the judge granted the store their sought relief as Chad did not appear in court.

This is just the latest in a long line of incidents for Ochocinco, and is likely not his last one.  These types of things were a lot more tolerable when he was leading the AFC in receptions and yards.
