Revis Wants Ochocinco in Green

Darrelle Revis, the shutdown corner for the Jets, is reportedly lobbying Chad Ochocinco to join him in the big apple next year.  Apparently they were working together for Chad’s OCNN network during the super bowl and the cornerback wouldn’t shut up about it.

“I want Chad to come here and play for us, to be a Jet,” Revis said. “I’ve been in his ear a lot about it this week … I think he could do well here. I’ve been telling him to come here.”

This comes on the heels of Chad’s antics over the last few weeks, in which he’s openly flirted with the Jets and the Patriots.  He responded angrily to Marvin Lewis’ assertion that the Pats and Bill Belichick were “too smart for that,” then proceeded to profess his loyalty to the Bengals and his desire to play in stripes in 2011.

Regarding Revis’ sales pitch, all Chad would say is, “I cannot speak about that right now.”

Which probably means Drew Rosenhaus has told him to shut up already.  The Jets already have Santonio Holmes, Jericho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards, but GM Mike Tannenbaum has been known for pursuing big names in the past.  Aside from trading for Holmes and Edwards, he also brought in RB Ladainian Tomlinson, LB Bart Scott, and CB Antonio Cromartie in recent seasons.

What do you think Bengal fans?  Trade Chad or keep him?  If they trade him, what’s the market?  My guess is a 3rd or 4th round pick at best.
