Schefter: Lewis Wants Changes To Stay

Adam Schefter reports that Marvin Lewis is secretly telling some in league circles that he’d like to stay on, but is willing to leave if he and owner Mike Brown cannot come to an agreement on changes Lewis wants made to the training facilities and personnel department.  Presumably this means an indoor practice facility and more scouts, things Brown has balked at for decades.

he is so adamant on these issues that it is the reason he declined to sign the contract extension offered him before this season.

The report stresses that Mike Zimmer, current defensive coordinator, would make a good option.

Just as I suspected, the problem is Mike Brown and will always be Mike Brown.
