Adam Jones handcuffed and detained after incident near Reds stadium

Trouble always seems to find Adam Jones, and it did once again Sunday after the Bengals shocking home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Cincy Enquirer reports that the DB was handcuffed and detained but released without being charged with a crime or arrested Sunday afternoon, after an auto accident near Great American Ball Park. Police say that Jones drove a silver Jaguar onto the sidewalk near the Reds’ ball park.

To make matters worse, there was an outstanding warrant on the license plates. A witness said Jones swerved to avoid the car in front of his and jumped the curb onto the sidewalk.

Police said Jones was questioned and allowed to leave the scene. The incident took place around 5:45 p.m., about 90 minutes after the Bengals loss.

Since being drafted in 2005 in the first round by the Titans, Jones has been arrested several times and charged with assault, felony vandalism, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He entered alcohol rehab in 2008.
