The Bengals have waived injured offensive guard Jason Shirley with a non-football injury designation, the team announced.
The second-year pro from Fresno State tore his Achilles tendon in April during a basketball game.
If Shirley isn’t claimed off waivers, and he probably won’t be since he’s out for the entire year, he’ll be shifted to the Bengals’ reserve-non-football injury list.
Shirley is a promising young guard whose career was on the upswing until this major injury.
