Bengals ink Briscoe

Joe Reedy of is reporting that the team has gotten one of their nine draft picks to agree to terms on a contract.  Its Dez Briscoe, WR from Kansas:

The sixth-round pick, who went 191 overall, agreed to a four-year deal. Terms were not officially announced but according to league sources it is for  $1.8925 million ($1.79 million base, $102,500 signing bonus). Depending on if certain incentives are hit in two of the first three years of the contract, the total value could escalate to $2,625,500.

Some may disagree, but I expect Briscoe to make the team.  Who wins between him, Matt Jones, and Jerome Simpson for what I’m calling “The Chris Henry Vacancy” will be interesting to watch.

One down, eight to go…
