Bengals to jump with the Golden Knights!

While Bengal players take a day away from the field tomorrow afternoon, members of the coaching staff and front office will be on a different kind of field – an airfield – preparing to jump out of an airplane over Cincinnati with the Army’s Golden Knights. The Knights are an elite parachuting team for the U.S. Army, executing hundreds of jumps each year that range from small group tandem jumps to aerial shows for expansive crowds (more information at http://www.usarec.army.mil/hq/goldenknights/).

From the Bengals’ staff, head coach Marvin Lewis will be joined by assistants Kevin Coyle, Jeff FitzGerald and Darrin Simmons, as well as director of player relations Eric Ball in jumping with the Knights. The whole experience is an adventure, with a low-flying plane, an open door on the side, and really nothing but a bench to sit on as the team cruises the skies and prepares to leap out. Members of the Knights are the best in the business, providing an unforgettable jump for anyone who has the pleasure of joining with them.

Weather permitting, the jump is scheduled for approximately 10:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Hopefully, we’ll have some pictures or video from the event tomorrow.

Update:  Unfortunately (or fortunately) weather problems kept the coaches from jumping
