Now that the draft is over and the team struck out on attempts to land Earl Thomas and Taylor Mays, they’ve turned their attention to the best veteran free agents on the market.

Multiple reports are surfacing that the team is currently entertaining former Texans and Giants safety C.C. Brown, and former Seahawks and Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin is en route to Cincinnati to meet with the team.

Hamlin never reclaimed his all-pro status once he joined the Cowboys.  Brown had his restricted tender offer yanked by the Giants once they sinced Deon Grant.

In case you are wondering, Brown is 27; Hamlin is 29.

Editor’s Note:  I must say, the team continues to be active this offseason, and doing things that seem to make clear, logical sense.  It’s almost like they recognize that to contend for the Super Bowl they need to get better and not rest on their laurels.

Go figure.
