National Football Post is reporting that Penn State TE Mickey Shuler Jr is scheduled to visit the Bengals prior to the draft.
Penn State tight end Mickey Shuler Jr. is scheduled to visit the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a source close to the Nittany Lions’ program.
Shuler made a big impression on NFL personnel directors and scouts with a strong Pro Day workout.
Shuler, the son of former NFL TE Mickey Shuler Sr, is moving up draft boards and may now be moving into the top half of the draft.
Here’s NFL.com Gil Brandt’s review of Shuler’s pro day:
TE Mickey Shuler (6-4 1/8, 251) ran a 4.63 and 4.66 in the 40, had a 37 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-11 broad jump, a 4.25 short shuttle, a 6.77 three-cone drill and did 28 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds.
Last year Shuler had 27 receptions for 300 yards and four touchdowns while making All-Big Ten.
