Bengals Get Two Prime-Time Preseason Games

The Bengals announced details regarding their preseason schedule today, which now includes two nationally televised games.

In addition to the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, OH on August 8th (to be televised nationally by NBC), the Bengals will also get the national spotlight in an August 20th home tilt with Philadelphia on Fox.

Both games are scheduled for an 8 P.M. kick.

It’s the first time the Bengals will get two nationally televised preseason games since 2006, and it’s the first time they’ve had a five game preseason schedule in 22 years.

Their other games will be versus Denver, at Buffalo, and at Indianapolis.  Exact dates and times for these games are pending.

“We welcome the opportunity to compete in these high-profile games,” Head Coach Marvin Lewis was quoted as saying in the team’s release.  “It adds an extra element of intensity to our preseason work and is exciting for our fans.”

August 8th: vs. Dallas at Canton, OH-8 P.M. (NBC)

August 12-16:  vs. Denver

August 20th:  vs. Philadelphia-8 P.M. (Fox)
