regarding the bengals T.O./draft situation:
THe bengals should NOT take T.O. Firstly, T.O. is too much money for mike brown to spend, and too much money for the team to spend on someone as risk as T.O. sure he has had a great career but he definitely doesnt have the skills or wheels that he used to. Teams won't respect him the way they used to, or the way they should respect someone that is paid the amount we will have to pay him. Instead of taking T.O. and giving him this years "redeemer" spot, I move that the Bengals take Stallworth instead as this year's "redeemer". Think about it. We could get Stallworth for less than half what we would pay for T.O. Stallworth has far more tread on the tires than T.O. and we would then be able to use our first round pick to either trade up and ensure getting Dez Bryant, hope he falls to us, or take Williams out of USC, Golden of the Irish or Benn from Ill. Stallworth had... and hopefully still has the wheels to stretch the field. He has AFC north experience. And he would fill our opening at "drunk driving reciever" Kidding aside, IF... IF we took T.O. we would probably have to drop Laverneus meaning wasted money. Kepp Laverneus and give him the chance to prove he was worth the price tag. Spend what you save from getting T.O. on the best receiver we can get in the first round of the draft, and get Stallwroth in. Give up on Coffman as a TE and move him to way-oversized-wes-welkerish slot reciever where he belongs if he is to play in the NFL(although i'm not opposed to giving him a shot at TE with a good foot in training camp) and pick up the best TE we can in the second round. Spend our third rounders on a DE and a saftey as well as evaluate the market for OL upgrades(wouldn't it be nice to pick up Marcus Mcneill from the RFA-overloaded-and-about-to-be-plundered Chargers and move Whit in to LG... Not that Whit did a bad job, but he is truly a mauler gaurd while only an adequate LT. Beastly line(assuming we resign Bobby) Stallworth, Laverneus, and the new guy competeing for #2, the best corner tandem in the league, Coach Zimm, and... here's the kicker... we will basically get a bonus first round gaurantee in having Andre mcfattyfat... err... Smith. Again, kidding aside, Mcneill, Whit, Cook, Bobby, and 'Dre would be a hell of an OL with depth coming from Livings, Roland, etc. and THE key to offense is the line.

So no, save the money on T.O. and go after another need or major upgrade when you spend the franchise-type bucks. Get value where it stands(outside of prison and in the defense heavy draft)

A final parting thought:
am i the only one that thinks we need to get Quan in there more? I didn't see him play that much in college, and he didn't play much this year, but it seems like EVERY time he is on the field he is getting open and making plays
