The Cincy Enquirer reports on Carson Palmer tweaking his ankle in the preseason matchup vs the Saints Friday night:
The Bengals’ first teamers had 170 total yards of offense, but there was a brief period of concern when Palmer suffered a mild sprain to this left ankle. Palmer sprained the ankle after connecting with Chad Ochocinco on a 55-yard pass while the Saints were blitzing and appeared to get his ankle tied up while between a couple of defenders. Near the end of the half, Palmer was putting weight on the ankle and said that he should be fine for next Thursday’s game at New England. “It’s not bad at all. I just got it rolled up on a little bit after I threw the ball. I have no doubt I’m ready to go next week,” Palmer said at halftime.
