The Dayton Daily News reports that the Bengals are close to inking their third-round pick, Chase Coffman.
The Cincinnati Bengals have pretty much ignored their tight ends in recent years, but that part of the offense could be revived if third-round draft choice Chase Coffman has anything to say about it. But first, the former Missouri star must sign a contract. That being said, there are reasons to believe that a deal will be struck in time for training camp. With players due to report to Georgetown, (Ky.) Thursday, July 30, Coffman is very optimistic that he will be signed before camp opens.
