Another poor season in 2008 for the Bengals may actually pay off for fans that want to see the team in 2009, as for the first time since 2006, the club is offering season tickets to the general public and will go on sale Monday.

The team is feeling it as there have been a number of fans who have declined to renew their season tickets after the team had a poor 2008 season. The team has already been calling members of their waiting list.

“The Bengals have experienced some cancellations, but maybe not as many as some have speculated,” said Director of Ticket Sales Andrew Brown. “All pro teams are facing hurdles in this economy but thanks to our fan base and a relatively healthy Cincinnati economy our path might not be as steep as some other clubs are facing.”

Only season tickets will be available starting on Monday. There is a chance that later on the club will have multi-game packs or single-game tickets available.

The Bengals will enter the season with a 44-game sellout streak, the longest in franchise history.
