Bengals Bring Back Crocker and Dorsey

The Bengals are bringing back a couple of their own, as the team has come to deals with safety Chris Crocker and running back DeDe Dorsey.

Crocker was brought in midway through last season, and played well over the last eight games. He put up 48 tackles, 1 1/2 sacks, one interception and a forced fumble. His forced fumble set up a touchdown against Washington in a December 14th win that helped spark the team to three straight wins in closing out a four-win season. Crocker finished with 14 tackles against the Redskins.

“Chris’ game against Washington was as good a game by a safety as I can remember since I’ve been here,” said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, “and for the whole second half of the season, he was a leader in the locker room as well as on the field. He was able to get up to speed with us very quickly, and he’s still a relatively young player with a lot of good football left in him. Obviously, we’re highly pleased to bring him back.”

Dorsey played in four games last season for Cincy, gaining just eight yards on five carries while catching two passes for 49 yards. The three-year pro has appeared in 29 career contests with the Bengals and Colts.
