Cedric Benson arrived in Cincinnati in late September surrounded by questions about his character. He might leave Cincinnati as a free agent, but he would go having quieted doubters and gained a career high 747 rushing yards. Benson capped off a strong second half of the season with his third 100-yard rushing game, running for 111 on top of the 171 he gained the previous week at Cleveland. Benson is eligible for unrestricted free agency following the season and he said he would like to return. “The Bengals will be my first consideration in the offseason,” he said.
