While all the talks for the Bengals is already about the offseason, one interesting tidbit came out earlier on NFL.com about the future for Bengals WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh:
According to NFL.com’s Adam Schefter, the Cincinnati Bengals will not franchise free-agent-to-be WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Houshmandzadeh is 31 years old, and if Cincinnati wants him, it will attempt to sign him to a long-term deal, something it previously has tried to do but failed.
This is news that could mean T.J. could be on the open market, and there could be a number of teams that would love to get their hands on him as their #1 wide out – Tennessee, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Philadelphia, Seattle and others. We’ll see just how hard the Bengals go after their now top WR.
