From: Columbus Dispatch
With local TV cameras rolling Wednesday, slumping Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ocho Cinco actually said, “I think this was my best season.” Lest you think that Rumblings is making this up, we’ll revert to the transcript in which he tried to explain this lunacy. “It was the first time since my rookie year that I’ve had to face adversity, which I’ve been doing all year and I haven’t blown up one time,” he said. “So this has really been my best season.”
Hasn’t blown up? What about that argument with a Bengals assistant coach in Pittsburgh that got him suspended for a game? “No,” he said. “That was very quiet. I didn’t blow up. I didn’t say a word. Yeah, that’s why it’s been my best season. Production-wise, no. As a person, mentally, I was challenged all year. It’s been very, very stressful, very frustrating, but I’ve been able to maintain my state of mind, you might say, and continue to push week in and week out. Try to play at a high level, try to do everything possible to help us win.”
