Fitzpatrick to Start; Johnson to be Showcased in Preseason Finale

The 1-2 Bengals will look to at least get some momentum tonight as they take on the Colts at the new Lucas Oil Stadium.  They will not have QB Carson Palmer, who will sit after suffering a broken nose in last weeks ugly loss to the Saints.  Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the start tonight, and will get a chance to show what he can do.  Rudi Johnson being on the trade market will also see action, and it’s a showcase to possibly move him to another tam.

The good news on Palmer is that he should be more than ready to go on September 7th vs the Ravens.  “I mean, I’m healthy, I could play, (it’s) just not in the cards this week, I think mainly because we played Saturday and turn around and play again on Thursday,” said Palmer, who had a protective brace on his nose and packing in his left nostril. “I just want to be 100 percent and healthy and feeling great going into the Baltimore game.”
