Johnson Sits Out First Practice Due to Ankle; Odom Carted Off w/ Foot Injury

Chad at camp today

While the Bengals and their fans are happy that wide out Chad Johnson has shown up at camp, they will have to wait a little longer for him to take the field. Johnson will not take the field just yet for Cincy, as he is still recovering from offseason ankle surgery. He spent the first day of camp today rehabbing the ankle, but should be ready to go for a good part of the preseason games and the season opener. Marvin Lewis said as of now there is no timetable for C.J.’s return. The team did lose a key offseason player today, as DE Antwan Odom injured his left foot during practice and left the field on a cart. The team will update his condition later today.
