There is just eight days for the Bengals to try and sign franchise tackle Stacy Andrews to a long-term deal, and the word from Bengals.com is that it looks unlikely that something is going to get done. The site says that the team has tried to sign Andrews to a long-term deal for two years, and now it looks as if he’ll play under the franchise tag for the 2008 season. If he and the team can’t get a deal done, he’ll count $7.5 million against the teams salary cap this season. The team shunned Justin Smith to give Andrews the franchise tag, and now it looks as if putting that tag on him is going to cost them a lot of money this season.
