Source Says Chad to Be at Bengals Camp in Two Weeks

Chad Johnson has been talking all along about never playing for the Cincinnati Bengals again, but if he wants to keep collecting paychecks, he’ll be in the upcoming mandatory camp come June 12th. ProFootballTalk.com is reporting that despite all the hype coming from C.J., he’ll be there in about two weeks when the Bengals take the field for a camp.
Terrell Owens did the same ploy three seasons ago with the Eagles, and when he showed up to camp, he was such a distraction that eventually the team parted ways with him. That could be the same thing that Johnson hopes happens when he and coach Marvin Lewis cross paths for the first time, and that maybe the coach will finally come to his senses that Johnson no longer wants to wear stripes.
It’s been noted since day one after the season that Johnson has wanted out of Cincy, but every time he threw it out there that he wanted out, Lewis came right back with saying they would not get rid of him. Now we’ll see what happens at camp, if Johnson does indeed show up, and if so, what Lewis and the team do if he starts causing issues.

What are the perecentages that Johnson shows up and plays with issue this year? Do you think he will get a new contract or get traded? If he gets traded where do you think he will go? I look forward to hearing your comments.

Jon,
Thanks for the comment. I think Johnson will be much like the T.O. situation of a few years back, where he will be at camp, but refuse to do anything.
The lines have been drawn, and C.J. has said he won’t play for the team again. I can’t imagine knowning C.J. and talking to him a few times that he’d change his mind at this point.
If he gets moved, and I think he will, I think these teams would take at making a run at him, and not in any certain order:
Washington
Dallas
Philly
New Orleans
Oakland
Tennessee
Thanks Jon, keep in touch
