Pollack Tells Bengals He’s Retiring
Posted by Matt Loede on April 22nd, 2008 in News
Linebacker David Pollack has decided not to come back to the Bengals. Marvin Lewis stated on Tuesday that Pollack has informed him that he will not be back with the team, deciding that his broken neck is not going to be strong enough for him to ever play at 100 percent. Pollack was the Bengals first pick back in 2005, and was injured in the teams second game of the season vs the Browns two seasons ago. “He spent some time with me well over a week ago and that’s where it was headed,” Lewis said. “It’s a tough, tough decision for his family … (but) he’s going to have an outstanding life. … We know the quality of the person; he’s got such a bright future in whatever he does.”
