Lewis Speaks Out Again that Johnson Will be a Bengal

Marvin Lewis has said from day one that superstar wide out Chad Johnson was not going to be moved before the 2008 season. He is going to be in a Bengal uni, which has been the total opposite of what Johnson has said basically starting right when the season ended. Lewis is now speaking out, and is stating what he has been for awhile – Johnson is going to be a Bengal.

“We’ve been dealing with this inside for over a year and we’ll be prepared to move on,” Lewis said. “He has a contract through 2011. If he plays NFL football it will be in Cincinnati, or he has to do what he says and that’s retire. That would be a shame.

A lot of people who really had an affection for him fan wise and people around the league see him in a different light and that’s unfortunate. Some of the things he’s gone on record and said one way or the other he’s going to have to deal with them one way or the other. . . . He’s said he’s probably going to sit out. I think you’ve got to own up and do it. . . . The Cincinnati Bengals hold the cards through the 2011 season.”

  1. Chad is a very immature sefl centered over paid JERK. Hey but what would expect from a guy thats fathered 4 illegitamate children and still sucks his thumb. I see him having a career ending injury this season. Pride usually comes before the fall! He also has a lawsut brewing in Cincinati that’s going to expose him for the CON & Liar that he is!

  2. Jesse says:

I hope he sits out so we don’t have to hear about him, and I’m glad the NFL Channnel hasn’t treated to him like ESPN did with T.O. in years back. Thing is, I’m pretty sure 85 will never settle down and just play.
