Pollack Says He’ll Know His Future by February 8th

The future for Bengals linebacker David Pollack is still up in the air, and today’s Cincy Enquirer says that he’ll decide where he stands by February 8th.  Pollack is chomping at the bit to get back on the field, and is hoping to be back as close to 100 percent as he can be after suffering a C6 vertebra fracture in the teams second game of the 2006 season vs the Cleveland Browns.  As far as making that decision by the 8th goes – “I should have all the details that I need to make an informed decision,” said Pollack.

The paper says that Pollack is back up to 250-255 pounds, which is his playing weight.  He is also working as a trainer in Mason with 11 NFL hopefuls, four of which are from the University of Cincinnati.  “I always hoped I would be stronger than where I am now,” Pollack said during a break in his workout. “The day I go out of the neck brace I did (bench pressed) 135 (pounds) seven times. I think I went into full-body seizure, contracting, dying, but since I’ve been up here at Ignition I’ve done 225 (pounds) 22 times (repetitions).”
