As the Bengals search for a new defensive coordinator continues, they know that one candidate has been removed from the team that employs him.  The Carolina Panthers have refused to give permission to the Bengals to speak with secondary coach Tim Lewis.  Cincinnati is said to be considering other individuals as well, including Baltimore d-coordinator Rex Ryan.  He is a possible replacement as Ravens head coach for the dismissed Brian Billick.
