Cincinnati Bengals running back Chris PerryThe Cincinnati Bengals, mindful of the 21-day deadline (roster exemption) expiring on Wednesday, are contemplating putting running back Chris Perry on the injured reserve list, which would end his season.  Perry is currently rehabbing a severely fractured ankle and lower leg injuries; Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said the team had no announcement on Monday.

Considering that the Bengals aren’t exactly depleted at RB at the moment (they already have Rudi Johnson, Kenny Watson and DeDe Dorsey on the depth chart), they shouldn’t rush Perry back at the risk of further injury.  They’re not going to the playoffs, so they can take stock of the other RB’s on their active roster in the meantime.
