Both Watson and Johnson Should be Able to Go Sunday

Watson

The Bengals will have a 1-2 punch at the running back spot Sunday in Buffalo, as Rudi Johnson and Kenny Watson both participated in a full practice Thursday, and are both going to see carries Sunday vs the Bills.  Johnson missed most of the last four games with a pulled hamstring, but returned to practice this week and reported no problems. Watson, who filled in as the starter and had a 130-yard game against the New York Jets, returned to practice Thursday after recovering from a concussion.  That concussion took place after a fumble late in the Steelers loss Sunday that was the final nail in the Bengals coffin.  The Bills are allowing 139 yards per game rushing, so having both Watson and Rudi in the backfield might just be what the Bengals need.  After all, the best way to hide a defense that can’t stop anyone is by keeping the offense on the field, and they can do that by successfully rushing the football.
