Watson Has Big Day Filling in for Johnson

Cincinnati Bengals running back Kenny Watson (33) is tackled by New York Jets defenders Kerry Rhodes, bottom, Victor Hobson, and Hank Poteat, right, in the third quarter of an NFL football game, Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in Cincinnati. Watson rushed for three touchdowns and 130 yards in the Bengals 38-31 win.

Rudi Johnson was out and Kenny Watson took advantage.  The veteran backup became the first Bengals running back other than Johnson to go over the 100-yard mark in a game since the days of Corey Dillon.  He did it four seasons ago.  It was Watson’s third time in triple digits as a pro, with a career high 31 carries, 130 yards and three touchdowns.  There is no word yet if Johnson will be back for this weekend’s game against the Steelers.
